I’m excited to share a fun and educational free printable with you. It’s a color-matching activity featuring cute paint buckets and colorful splashes. This activity is not just enjoyable; it also helps kids learn about colors and boosts fine motor skills.

I see these types of color-matching activities all the time on Pinterest, but I am not a fan of subscribing or honestly paying $3 for a small activity. So I decided, why not make my own Color Matching Activity? And well today I thought I would share it with you, without you having to click a million links. Okay, well just this text you “need” to read.
If you aren’t yet familiar with the benefits of this activity, I will list a few for you:
- Color Recognition: Children learn to identify and match colors.
- Fine Motor Skills: Picking up and placing splashes improves hand-eye coordination.
- Problem-Solving: Matching splashes to buckets is a fun logic and problem-solving exercise.
- Having your coffee semi-warm.
You can easily put this in a binder and take it on road trips or outings. It’s perfect for keeping kids engaged and learning while on the go. I am currently working on a whole busy binder for my son, which includes this page! When it is done, I will of course share it with you for free, no subscribing etc. etc. Nobody has time for all that!

By the way I recommend laminating it for durability, especially for active toddlers. It’ll make the activity last longer, and I truly recommend these velcro dots from Amazon! They make matching a breeze and add extra sensory fun. My son is obsessed with how it works.
Print, laminate (if you like), and let the color-matching adventure begin! Happy matching!
