10 Valentine’s Days Toddler Books

One tip to make reading more fun for yourself as a parent would be to have some variation in the books you read. Most toddlers aren’t capable of reading themselves, so you are the one doing all the work. So why not make it fun? I made a quick list of some of the books I think are perfect for Valentines Day for Toddlers.

Love, Z.

I just think this is the cutest thing, and also just a little bit different than your average book about love (or Valentines Day).

A Hug is for Holding Me

I have a thing for beautiful illustrations, this book just looks amazing. Maybe a bit “boring” to look at for a one-year-old, but two or three-year-olds will love it! Also, the story is pretty cute!

Love is

A very easy book to read “quickly”, not too elaborate but it has such a sweet story. Perfect for younger children, but still suitable for older toddlers as well!

I Heart You

I honestly chose this book because it features well-drawn animals, my toddler just loves to spot animals so this book will be a big hit!

LOVE from the Very Hungry Caterpillar

I feel like you either love or hate the very hungry caterpillar, but this book is perfect for Valentine’s Day.

Love is a Tutu

This book is perfect for a little girl who is into ballet (or boy!), it’s cute and simple but sometimes that’s all you need.

Little Love

I don’t think books come cuter than this one, I would recommend this one for very small toddlers, or if your toddler can read to have them read it themselves.

Hug Machine

A simple story simply about hugging, every page a new hug. Still, I think it’s suitable for any toddler because a one-year-old would just see the hug but a three-year-old would see the funny parts.

L is for Love

Oh, I just love Greg Paprocki’s Alphabet Books! The drawings are so beautiful, and your child will absolutely learn some new words! The drawings are quite intricate and not too -in-your-face, so I would recommend it for kiddos 1,5 and above!

I hope this has given you some inspiration! Please know that you don’t need tons of books, rotating each season, etc, etc! Do what feels right for your family.

Love, Romina

Ps: if you click on the picture it takes you to amazon where you can purchase the book if you want. If you do I might get a small percentage of the sale, but no worries it’s not added to your price!
